Who is Eichcorp?

I founded Eichcorp in 2021 in Charlottesville, Virginia with the goal of working closely with clients large and small to help them maximize their investment in technology. What does that mean? Well, organizations expect a return on investment when paying for off-the-shelf or custom software solutions. By starting my own business I relished the opportunity to work directly with software users. There’s no better way to maximize the chance of success than by working directly with software end users “early and often”, from kickoff to launch and during operation.

What do we do today?

Customers First!

In short, we still work very closely with our customers, and if anything the trend is that we are working more today with small businesses than we were at the outset. These are small businesses like Eichcorp. We’re working directly with owners and founders. We understand just how important it is for a small business to maximize their investment. Small businesses only pay for things that they need, and that includes software.

GIS and Geospatial

We continue to work with geospatial/GIS/mapping technology and applications. This is the foundation on which Eichcorp was founded, and also where I cut my teeth with Esri Inc. and Esri Switzerland back in the 2000s. Guess what? We’re still at-it! Eichcorp is an Esri Bronze partner, and we love helping our customers get the most out of Esri software.

We can help you answer questions like:

Can I use Esri software to enable my team to view and enter information in the field? Yes, absolutely.
Can I use Esri to provide executive views of our operations? Again, yes.
Can Esri be connected to other business systems, like accounting, scheduling, work management, and more? Yes, absolutely!

Eichcorp OWA: Our platform for enterprise operations management

Starting in late 2024 we began helping customers streamline their operational workflows. This started with connecting GIS to other systems (accounting, scheduling, etc.), and involved both technical integrations as well as workflow/process integration. This grew significantly as we demonstrated the value of employing enterprise cloud architectures to integrate critical business systems. Our integration platform “Eichcorp OWA” is built on Google Cloud Platform and supports truly high-frequency operations management: Think dozens of daily project updates. This is where we also took the leap to introduce ClickUp for work management. With or without GIS, ClickUp allows organizations to plan and track work based on their preferred views and work steps. ClickUp is also an excellent starting point for leveraging AI on your operational data.

Industry Focus: Fiber Broadband

Eichcorp’s industry direction has evolved organically. We have developed expertise in the fiber broadband sector, marrying that with our expertise in GIS and enterprise asset management (EAM). Fiber is all about collecting, managing, and sharing network information. Esri GIS is an excellent foundation for fiber design and management applications.

Industry Focus: Septic Operations

How did we get into the septic business? Well, about 2 years ago we started with some small businesses working in: Onsite septic soil testing and site evaluation, septic system design, and system inspections. Work in this space is both onsite and in-office. Bringing the power of modern software to bear on these septic “micro verticals” is one Eichcorp’s primary organizational goals for 2026 and beyond.

Here’s the formula as we see it:

Esri GIS for mapping and field/mobile work + ClickUp for work management + Eichcorp OWA for integration/automation = time and money saved for businesses in this space.

Our septic customers conservatively save about an hour of administrative time per project. One of them runs nearly 4,000 onsite septic soil testing projects a year.
