FIBER BROADBAND
Purpose: mPower Fiber Pro enables design engineers to manage fiber object networks using an intuitive, and hyper-usable tool that extends ArcGIS Pro, Esri's flagship GIS desktop application. Engineers use Fiber Pro to view and update fiber-optic splicing information, design and manage fiber networks, and generate information-rich splice diagrams.
Implementation: Eichcorp is mPower's Software Development Partner for Fiber and handled multiple aspects of product development, from design through implementation. Fiber Pro is an ArcGIS Pro Add-In built using Microsoft .NET/C# and utilizes data stored in file and enterprise Esri GIS geodatabases (e.g SQL Server). Eichcorp also developed workflows and automated Python scripts to migrate data from other systems to Fiber Pro.

Purpose: While a list of required power and broadband infrastructure geospatial data layers had been compiled, the organization required help automating the download, transformation, and compilation of these data into Esri geodatabase format and template ArcGIS Pro project to support downstream workflows including analysis and mapping.
Implementation: Eichcorp implemented a map data extraction and conversion process using Overpass API, Python, and Esri ArcPy, improving the speed and accuracy of the organization's mapping and analysis workflows.
